Honestly i meet a Sion like this lately and i really think Riot should do something to remove it from the game becouse it's not fun for anyone but Sion. Early and Mid game his team couldn't do shit becouse we had so much gold and were fighting 5v4 taking everything from enemy team and they literally couldn't play the game so much they were even considering throwing the game just so Sion don't get the win. And in the late game we just lost. It didn't mattered that we had item advantage, objectives advantage and so much gold and kills. He was just taking all the towers in seconds and we couldn't do anything about it. Very unfun experience

Just add situational effects, like a static shiv for a mage has less stats and effects than for an adc

It is overall the most skilled role in the game. People who say they are useless it's because they are not skilled enough neither put the time or effort on the role.

A perfect example of why this is a problem. I got matched against draven/lulu and had a senna supp. So i just said fuck it and stomped them with darius adc cause its a better counterpick now than any other adc. Ive done the same with aatrox, belveth, yorick etc etc. If you have a ranged supp you win automatically if you go bruiser adc. Its so stupid

The unique thing ADCs bring to the table is not just damage, but also kiting and peeling. No other class can kite as effectively, and without an ADC it could be argued that bruisers/juggernauts can become unkillable monsters. ADC is also the best role to be a dedicated lategame tankbuster, altho now we have options for other classes. But I guess if the enemy has no bruisers/tanks, an adc isn't really necessary, assuming the substituted champ can handle the duo lane.

I played lol since the release for a few years. I'm really glad i came back to dota after it. Strategically much deeper, roles are well defined but still change is possible. On the other hand in lol now basically the newer = the more mobile and op the champion is. In my times nidalee was one of the most mobiles ones. Now zed or the plethora of jumpers i don't even know their name completely disfigured the game. At this point it would be better to remove ADCs and simply make it arcade for all.

I mean ADC still do way more damage than most roles with relatively few skill shots, there is no comparison in a 6 item Caitlyn’s damage and a 6 item ornn, clearly one will nuke others and the other has to deal damage over time

I think that throughout the years, people forgot what made the og adc an "adc", what you consider "adc" is not the og adc but the "marksman" role that riot created later, the og adc was the champion that specialized for ad dps, usually by stacking attack speed, crit and armor pen, aka high sustained damage by auto rather than high damage by abilities, that's why during the years melee adc was a thing with yi, jax, yas ecc. Marksman is now a little more different than the "original" adc, it can be an adc but not necessarily, sometimes they are more of a ranged ad burst champions, it's more like an ad mage rather than the "traditional" adc
